We are a non-profit organization that provides psychological counselling, emotional support, legal information, and referral services in relation to family transition (separation, divorce, or other family re-organization). We assist adults, children, teens, couples, and families to make informed choices and rebuild their lives.
LEGAL INFORMATION COUNSELLING
•Pre-separation Consultation: legal and practical information about your rights, responsibilities and available options.
•Preparation to see a Lawyer: guidance in making effective use of lawyer time
•Family Court Preparation: guidance in making effective use of court time
•Family Court Orientation: help in understanding the court process and how decisions are made
•Court Accompaniment: Available for emotional support, not legal advice
•Financial Preparation: assistance in completing income and expense forms
The agency does not provide legal advice. Trained, supportive people can explain terms, discuss procedures and alternatives and provide information about other community agencies.

COUNSELLING
The emotional roller coaster ride which happens when people separate or divorce is varied and painful. It affects all members of the family.
People need to share their concerns about their lifestyle changes and their feelings of anger, relief, resentment, guilt, intense loneliness and loss. We offer small groups to connect individuals with peers to share similar feelings and learn pro-active coping strategies.
Must be preceded by an initial appointment
•Caught in the Middle - Children's Program: 8 weeks: child-centered group geared to help children (6-12 years) deal with the major lifestyle changes
•Caught in the Middle - Parent Program: 8 weeks: provides information and support to help parents understand their child's unexpressed fears during this time
•Teen Program – Individual and group support for teens
•Evolutions & Single Again - 8 weeks: explores the grieving/loss cycle, healthy emotional expression, and pro-active coping strategies
•Parenting with a New Partner: support for step or blended families
•Individual, Couple and Family Counselling – additional support for people experiencing separation or divorce or family reorganization
